SPEAK TO CAMERON

A Celebrant Who Understands It’s Your Day, Your Way

Your wedding day should be a true reflection of who you are—your values, your story, and your love for each other. At Perth Marriage, Cameron Eglington is a trusted, inclusive same sex wedding celebrant who proudly supports couples of all genders and backgrounds in creating heartfelt, authentic ceremonies across Perth and South-West WA.

Whether you’re planning something intimate or elaborate, traditional or completely unique, Cameron will help bring your vision to life with respect, care, and professionalism.

What’s Included in a Same Sex Wedding Ceremony

When you choose Cameron as your same sex wedding celebrant, you receive more than just someone to handle the legalities. You get a celebrant who genuinely cares about helping you feel seen, supported, and celebrated. Cameron offers an obligation-free initial chat to explore your ideas and vision, and provides guidance on writing your vows if needed.

He crafts a fully personalised ceremony script from scratch and delivers it on the day with warmth, clarity, and a calm, professional presence. All legal paperwork, including your marriage certificate, is completed and lodged on your behalf. Throughout the process, you’ll have unlimited phone and email support, and Cameron is always happy to offer thoughtful advice on ceremony structure, readings, rituals, or ways to involve family and friends in a meaningful way.

Why Choose an Inclusive Celebrant?

It’s important to feel not just accepted, but genuinely welcomed by your celebrant. Cameron is a proud ally of the LGBTQIA+ community and has worked with many same sex couples across Western Australia. His focus is on building a ceremony around your love, your language, and your style—nothing more, nothing less.

You’ll never be handed a generic script. Instead, every word is chosen with care to reflect your journey and the way you want to mark this moment in your lives.

Marriage Equality in Australia – What You Need to Know

Since the legalisation of same sex marriage in Australia in 2017, all couples—regardless of gender—have had the right to marry. That means Cameron, as a fully registered celebrant, can legally marry any two consenting adults.

There is no difference in the legal process. Whether you’re a same sex or opposite sex couple, you’ll follow the same steps:

  1. Complete a Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) at least one month before the wedding
  2. Hold your ceremony with a registered celebrant and two witnesses
  3. Sign the legal documents on the day
  4. Have your marriage registered with Births, Deaths & Marriages WA

Cameron can guide you through every step and ensure the legal side is handled with care and clarity.

What Makes Perth Marriage Different?

You’ll feel supported and valued throughout the entire process thanks to an inclusive and respectful approach. Cameron’s calm, professional delivery and warm presence help put both couples and guests at ease. Every ceremony is tailored specifically to you, there’s nothing templated, so your love story is celebrated your way.

As a registered and experienced celebrant, Cameron has worked with many same sex and LGBTQIA+ couples. Whether you’re planning a large event or a quiet elopement, you’ll receive the same level of flexibility, care, and commitment throughout your journey.

Absolutely. I proudly support marriage equality and have experience working with same sex and LGBTQIA+ couples. My ceremonies are inclusive, respectful, and designed to make everyone feel valued and celebrated.

How soon can we get married after booking?

By law, you must complete a Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) with your celebrant at least one month before your wedding date. This applies to all couples, regardless of gender or orientation.

Can we personalise our ceremony?

Yes, your ceremony is all about you. I work closely with couples to create a unique and personalised experience, ensuring your ceremony reflects your story, values, and wishes—nothing is templated.

Do you offer registry-style or elopement ceremonies?

Yes, I can provide simple registry-style ceremonies or intimate elopements, as well as larger celebrations. The same level of care and professionalism is given to every couple, no matter the size or style of your event.

Are there any restrictions on ceremony locations in Perth?

You can get married almost anywhere! If you want exclusive use of a public space or private property, you may need to apply for a permit. There are plenty of beautiful locations in and around Perth for your ceremony.

Can we change our wedding date or venue if our plans change?

Yes, as long as I’m available on your new date, I’m happy to accommodate changes. Please note that booking fees may be non-refundable.
